Description
Named after the refreshing mountain breezes that flow through the area, Las Brisas is a 5-hectare farm owned by Yeison Tovar Diaz in Suaza, Huila. Established in 2014 at 1,860 meters above sea level, this farm represents the dedication of a producer who acquired his land through perseverance, paying for it gradually in installments.
Yeison cultivates 7,500 coffee trees, focusing on Pink Bourbon and F6 varieties alongside food crops like plantain and yuca that support his family's livelihood. His decision to grow Pink Bourbon came from neighbors who praised its exceptional yield and quality potential. Through careful management and learning, Yeison has mastered this variety, achieving better prices that have allowed him to expand the farm's infrastructure and drying capacity.
Located in Huila, one of Colombia's most distinctive coffee regions known for its diverse flavor profiles, Las Brisas benefits from ideal growing conditions. The harvest involves a small team of six workers, with the main crop gathered from September to December and a smaller fly crop in May and June.
This coffee showcases how dedication and favorable terroir combine to produce exceptional quality.
