San Francisco farm is part of a project involving El Salvadorian producer Jose Antonio Salaverria and his two sons, Andres and Jose Antonio Jr. They belong to the 6th generation of coffee producers, with their ancestors having initiated coffee cultivation in Huachapan. In 1970, Jose Antonio Senior was offered a house, but he requested a farm instead. Consequently, he received Finca Los Nogales, which remains within the family and contributes to our coffee supply.
All the coffees from various farms undergo processing at their central mill, known as the Beneficio. In 1990, they acquired Beneficio Las Cruces and have since implemented significant enhancements. Their remarkable success can be attributed to their unwavering passion for coffee. They approach their work with diligence, realism, patience, and an unwavering commitment to quality, ensuring the sustainability of their business. Additionally, they’ve assembled an exceptional team, with Jose Antonio valuing his staff as the company’s most valuable asset.
The family’s primary coffee production areas are situated around the Santa Ana volcano in El Salvador. While consistently delivering high-quality coffee on a larger scale, they previously marketed their coffee under a few brand names associated with the three main regions: Santa Rita, San Francisco, and El Molino.
It is thanks to your taste for rare specialty coffee that these farmers can make a significant increase on their ordinary earnings, which enables them to develop their land further.
