Description
This El Zorro lot is one of the two Peruvian coffees we have in our assortment at the moment from the same region and community. It hails from the picturesque Callayuc district in the heart of the Cutervo Province, nestled within the northern part of Peru. This region, blessed by the Andes mountain range and its equatorial proximity, boasts a warm climate, fertile lands, and lush vegetation. Let’s delve into the captivating story behind this exceptional coffee.
Three years ago, the Cultivar team (the importer of this coffee) embarked on a serendipitous journey to find Susana, a remarkable coffee grower. Her beans left an indelible mark during a tasting session in 2020. Armed with determination, the team scoured the winding roads of Callayuc, asking locals about Susana’s whereabouts. Their quest led them to her doorstep, where they not only discovered her exceptional coffee but also unraveled a heartwarming tale of community ties.
It is thanks to your taste for rare specialty coffee that these farmers can make a significant increase on their ordinary earnings, which enables them to develop their land further.
Enjoy!
