Wete Ambela Coffee, established in 2018, is an Ethiopian coffee producer with two processing stations: one in Wote Konga (Yirgachefe) and one in Hambela (Guji). The company derives its name from these two locations.

The company is led by an experienced team: Mekuria Mergia brings 24 years of experience in coffee production and processing, while his wife Enatenesh Desalegn worked as a quality manager at Moplaco for 10 years. Together with export specialist Elias Yifter, they form a complementary team focused on quality coffee.

Wete Ambela Coffee works closely with local coffee farmers and actively invests in the community by supporting education and infrastructure. The company distinguishes itself through direct trade with coffee buyers worldwide and has a strong focus on quality, as demonstrated by their participation in the Cup of Excellence competition.

The company continues to develop with plans to expand their processing capacity through the construction of two new processing stations. Their dedication to quality and sustainable relationships with both farmers and coffee roasters remains central to their business operations.
