It hails from the picturesque Callayuc district in the heart of the Cutervo Province, nestled within the northern part of Peru. Three years ago, the Cultivar team (the importer of this coffee) embarked on a serendipitous journey to find Susana, a remarkable coffee grower. Her beans left an indelible mark during a tasting session in 2020. Armed with determination, the team scoured the winding roads of Callayuc, asking locals about Susana’s whereabouts. Their quest led them to her doorstep, where they not only discovered her exceptional coffee but also unraveled a heartwarming tale of community ties.
