Description

Meet "Stardust" - our third exceptional coffee from Daterra's Cerrado operations. This naturally processed coffee uses a unique dried-on-tree method, where beans are left on the tree longer to concentrate flavors before harvesting.

The result is a velvety texture with vibrant notes of ripe yellow fruits: pineapple, nectarine, peach, and apricot. It works beautifully as a rich espresso, but the fruit characteristics also create a balanced, delicate cup when brewed through drip methods.

Daterra's story began in the 1980s with a vision of sustainable specialty coffee production in the Cerrado region. What they found was exceptional high-altitude terroir and a desert-like climate that, while challenging, allows precise quality control during harvest. Over two decades, they transformed degraded farmland into a thriving ecosystem, becoming Brazil's first Rainforest Alliance certified coffee farm.

Today, as climate change brings increasingly dry conditions and reduced yields across coffee regions, Daterra's pioneering approach to environmental restoration and innovative processing methods like this dried-on-tree technique become even more valuable.
