Description

Named after the González family's first farm, Cuatro Vientos represents three generations of coffee expertise in Colombia's Huila region. Founded in 2018 by Yonatan González, whose background spans both coffee production and logistics, this family-owned company sources exceptional microlots from Northern and Southern Huila.

Operating across Acevedo, Santa María, and Algeciras, Cuatro Vientos benefits from Huila's extended harvest seasons, accessing fresh coffee for six months annually. The varying harvest periods - June to July in the north, September to December in the south - allow for careful selection of the finest lots from each subregion.

Their traditional approach emphasizes washed processing, though they also produce specialty preparations like honey and anaerobic naturals upon request. After careful hand-picking and flotation, cherries undergo fermentation in plastic bags or tanks before drying on marquesinas, mechanical dryers, or traditional patios.

Huila, alongside Nariño, produces some of Colombia's most distinctive and diverse flavor profiles. This regional blend showcases the terroir and expertise that make Colombian coffee exceptional, representing the dedication of small-scale producers supported by a family business that understands both farming and market dynamics.
